- He was a WMCA Good Guy in the 1960s and was on the air from 4 PM - 7 PM and played the Top 25 survey. Wednesday was new survey day. I believed he left the station a few years before it flipped to all talk in 1970
- He had two tenures at WHN when it was a country station
- He was with WYNY when it was at 97.1 FM as an Adult Contemporary station in the 1980s. He was doing morning drive for a while but the morons running WYNY dropped him for a couple of clowns named Harris and Harris.
- He returned to WYNY when it was a country station at 103.5 FM. He was there at the time the format and calls were changed to WKTU.
- In 1996 he came to WCBS-FM and did fill in worked until Ron Lundy retired in 1997. At that time he was on the air from 9 AM - 12 noon. He stayed on that shift until the end of 2002. For a few months in 2003 he did some weekend work at CBS-FM, but then retired. He came back in July 2012 for the 40th anniversary of the oldies format.
I saw Dan a few times in person:
- WMCA reunion at the Museum of TV and Radio now known as the Paley Center.
- WYNY day at Shea Stadium in early 1983
- He did one morning show at the Port Authority Bus Terminal. I was working at NYPL at 5th Avenue and 42nd Street at the time.
- He was the MC at a concert that WCBS-FM gave at the World Trade Center.
