The Mets Lost to the Yankees 5-4
I bought a six pack of tickets to the Mets so I can see one game against the Yankees live. The Mets were ahead 4-0 going into the top of the ninth. Billy Wagner, the closer, was brought in. He walked several batters until Will Randolph took him out. It was too late, since the Yankees tied it up. The Yankees scored a run in the top of the 11th to win it 5-4. Oh well.
What do you mean "Oh well?" These are the Yankees we are talking about! I think you meant "Oh, Hell!" This implosion cost me a game in the standings. My beloved Red Sox won (again) and they could have went a game up on the Yanks if the Mets bullpen didn't unravel. I am upset with the Muts. What is up with this team signing free-agents whose skills evaporate faster than a keg of Guinness at McGovern's on Saint Patty's day? (Yes, there are some things I miss about Newark).
ReplyDeleteThere are only two things I hate in this world; and the Yankees are the Other One.
