I won't talk about how the Mets lost last night. It was a year ago today that I started this blog. There have been 1600 hits, half of which must have been my own. I do not want to do a statistical analysis of this blog. That would be bean counting which I define as compiling statistics just to keep busy as is done all the time at work. I'd like to thank the people who have responded to my postings:
Mike B - former NJIT colleague and Red Sox Fan
Heather H - current NJIT colleague and great advocate of instant messaging. Last night I had a dream about getting an instant message in the library asking how automotive spark plugs work,
Din G - another current NJIT colleague and Yankee, Net and Jet fan
Mike S - from Forest Hills High School class of 1967

Congrats on the 1 year blog anniversary.
Happy 1 year Anniversary and...
I will happily talk about the Mets losing! The futility of their starting rotation is starting to be exposed and since they are only a good (not great) offensive team, the Mets might actually be in trouble. While baseball probably wants a New York team in the World Series, I think its far from fact that one will be there next week.
And remember Bruce, there is only one 1st place, everyone else are just losers (I say that hoping the Mets aren't that one team!).
err...the Mets put up 12 runs but come on! Was that from a dominant offense or more due to a weak pitching performance on the part of St. Louis?
Bruce, thanks for the shout-out.
I missed the Mets game 6 victory tonight, you want to know why?
I had to teach a class! The only thing I hate about my current job is the atrocious times we have to give B.I. (excuse me, information literacy) sessions. I've taught classes on a Saturday morning (9 am) weeknights: (7:45 PM and 6:45 PM).
One of the girls said I sound like I'm from Jersey. Still don't know how to take this.
