Start of the NBA Basketball Season
The Knicks were pretty bad last year with a 23-59 record and fired Coach Larry Brown. The new season started last night with Isiah Thomas as the coach. The Knicks had a 19 point lead against the Memphis Grizzlies at the beginning of the 4th quarter, but regulation ended with a tie. Finally in 3 overtimes the Knicks won 118-117. Since Memphis is a weak time, it is safe to say that the Knicks did not perform well. It is long season and this is only one game.
I wouldn't say that Bruce. Memphis did make the playoffs last year and that was after trading away three starters during the previous offseason. The Knicks won and as you know a win is a win (no matter how bad/good it was).
ReplyDeleteI am actually hoping the Knicks do better this year. Honestly, I can't stand the Knicks, Thomas, and how much the media loves them but at the same time I don't want Thomas to be kicked out the door in this fashion. If the Knicks wanted to get rid of him, they should have done it last year. Larry Brown is more valuable as a coach then Isiah is as a GM. The Knicks made a Knicks (aka bad) decision by firing Brown and keeping Thomas.
So i guess here is hoping the Knicks are embarrased worse than the Yankees were this year but like the Yankees, Thomas keeps his job (even though I wish Torre didn't).
