Ben's Deli and College Basketball (Again)
If you read my blog entry of December 30th, you can see that we ate dinner at Ben's Deli on West 38th Street and from there to Madison Square Garden to see a college basketball doubleheader. Today we went to CW Post in Brookville, LI and saw Bridgeport beat CW Post 80 -75. Bridgeport had a 25 point lead early in the second half which almost eroded but they held on to win. From there we went to the Ben's Deli at the intersection of Northern Blvd and Glen Cove Road in Greenvale for dinner. We finished at about 6:45 and listened to Saturday Night Oldies in the car. When we got home I listened to Mark Simone interview Jerry Mathers of Leave it to Beaver fame. I think all kids who grew up in the late 50s and early 60s watched the Beaver. Those were the days.
Jerry Mathers returns to Saturday Night Oldies on Nov. 24, 2007.
