Bruce Slutsky was born in New York City in 1949. I retired six years ago after working as a Science/Engineering Librarian at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark for 25 years. I was married to Karen until she passed away in February 2021. I have a son Lee who is now 35 years old. I am very much interested in the popular music of the 1960s, especially Bob Dylan and the Beatles. I am interested in rock and roll radio. I am an enthusiastic fan of the New York Mets.
I just found out that Jeopardy host Alex Trebek suffered a minor heart attack. Thanks for regular reader and radio enthusiast Frank D for sending the news to me. The article states that Alex should be OK for the next series of tapings of Jeopardy in January.

Bruce, I heard this story in the car listening to all-news WBBM Newsradio 78. The report continued to say Alex is 67 and is expected to recover fully in time for future tapings of Jeopardy.
Looking back, I probably should have alerted you as did our friend Frank.
Blame it on too little sleep and too much work.
Let's keep Alex in our thoughts and prayers.

I am VERY happy hearing it was mild, and that Alex is expected to be released from the hospital soon.
I am not happy, however, at the many headlines which use the word "jeopardy."

Each used in poor taste. And, in my opinion, should be considered as tasteless as the NY Post headline on the passing of hotel operator Leona Helmsley.

Alex is a class act. And deserves better than such cheap headlines.
