Bruce Slutsky was born in New York City in 1949. I retired six years ago after working as a Science/Engineering Librarian at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark for 25 years. I was married to Karen until she passed away in February 2021. I have a son Lee who is now 35 years old. I am very much interested in the popular music of the 1960s, especially Bob Dylan and the Beatles. I am interested in rock and roll radio. I am an enthusiastic fan of the New York Mets.

Bruce, doesn't this take you back in time? Remember as a kid, wishing school would be closed so you could go out and play with friends?
Now as an adult with a son of your own, it seems everything has come full-circle.
Hopefully, you will enjoy this rare day off and maybe order up some Carnegie Deli while watching Turner Classic Movies?
Does our friend, Alan have the day off as well?
One final question, if I may? How many homes still have what is known as a job jar? You reach into it and you must perform the task written on the piece of paper. Do families still use this anymore?
I hope you have a great day whatever you decide. Chicago isn't expected to receive snow this writer will be leaving shortly to go to work.
Take care,
Dave in Chicago
