Daylight Saving Time
I think Daylight saving time should not start this early. I would start it the first Sunday in April as has been done in the past. When I leave the house at 6:40 AM, it will be pitch black outside. Saving energy is the reason for starting DST early. But it seems that the energy saved in the evening will be expended by turning on lights early. It is now 8 PM EST and Karen has already changed the clocks in our apartment.
So, how many clocks has Karen changed and how much does she get paid per clock?
ReplyDeleteEverything in this world now has a clock in it.
The reality is most are rarely looked at. Who checks the clock on a cellphone or a Sony Walkman? Don't get me started on those damned digital watches.
I don't bother changing the clock on my fax machine or oven. Useless to me.
The clock on the computer changes automatically.
Bruce, can you add a photo of a neon clock to this post? Just a request.
Bruce, if your AOL journal were the lottery, I'd be rich!
ReplyDeleteThe Bruce Slutsky digital hit counter just clicked to 6,100 visitors.
I had the distinct honor of being visitor number 6,000.
If I'm luck enough to be the one which takes you to 10,000 you have
to take our friend out to an expensive dinner. Might I suggest some
fine deli meat. By the way, my tongue is dry................
I hope you will have a good day.
