Jazz Concert at the Flushing Branch of the Queens Borough Public Library
This morning as I browsed through the local Queens newspapers I found out about a jazz concert at the Flushing branch of the Queensborough Public Library. It was a mild day for January so we walked over. Every seat in the auditorium was filled as we saw Chris Washburne and the Syotos Band, a Latin jazz group. This group holds the longest running Latin jazz gig in NYC history. The group includes former members of the Tito Puente and Eddie Palmieri bands. The performance was part of the Carnegie Hall's Neighborhood Concert Series.
