The PATH train saved me yesterday
A train that derailed just outside New York Penn Station yesterday caused havoc on New Jersey Transit and Amtrak. Since I received an e-mail alert, I knew in advance that there would be problems on the commute home. Luckily the PATH runs from NYC to Newark. New Jersey Transit costs more than PATH, but it is a much faster ride. When I arrived at Newark Penn Station I immediately boarded the PATH especially since NJ Transit tickets were cross honored. It certainly saved me from a lot of aggravation. It is nice that there is often redundancy in mass transportation.
