Southern California Vacation Day 6 - June 15
Dodger Stadium, built in 1962, is now the third oldest baseball stadium with Fenway Park and Wrigley Field being older. Today we drove over there to see an afternoon game between the Dodgers and the Cincinnati Reds. Karen, Lee and I wore our New York Mets uniforms and drew attention from a few other Met fans in attendance. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that today’s Los Angeles Dodgers were wearing the uniforms of the Brooklyn Dodgers. Also all food was half price. If we had known that we would have worn Brooklyn Cyclone t-shirts. The game was very disappointing as the Dodgers lost to the Reds 7 - 2. Scott Rolen was the hitting star with 3 hits and 3 RBIs.
