The Concert for Bangla Desh - 40th Anniversary
I was not at the Concert for Bangladesh 40 years ago today at Madison Square Garden. I remember I was playing board games with my then girlfriend and another couple in Brooklyn. Some years later I bought the three record set of the concert and later on the VHS tape of it. Bob Dylan's appearance was certainly a surprise since he wasn't touring at the time. The above video (over 9 minutes - Facebook friends can see it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZIi188Cakk ) features Leon Russell singing Jumpin' Jack Flash and Youngblood. Leon and Bob are on the stage again during the current leg of the Never Ending Tour. More on that in about 2 weeks.
