I remember my high school days when I turned the TV on at 4:30 PM and watched Where the Action is hosted by Dick Clark. He featured the top 40 hits of the day. There were several regular performers on the show including:
- Steve Alaimo
- Paul Revere and the Raiders
- Keith Allison (Paul McCartney look a like)
- Tina Mason
I subscribe to
Goldmine Magazine which advertises vinyl, CDs, and DVDs from the oldies era. I just received two DVDs featuring shows from that series. It certainly brought back some nice memories of the mid 1960s. Some months ago I viewed some shows of Shindig and Hullabaloo at the Paley Center in Manhattan.
