Prayers for Gary Carter

Bill Madden of the New York Daily News reports that Gary Carter has taken a turn for the worse in his fight against cancer.  The prognosis for "The Kid" is not good at this time.  The best we can all do is pray for him.  About two years ago I was at a Newark Bears game as they were playing the Long Island Ducks that he managed at that time.  I was sitting right behind their dugout.

I hope that the Mets will retire his number soon.  I thank friends Alan Berman and Mary Shaw for bringing this to my attention.
