Will Injuries Plague the Mets Again this Season?
The Mets lost their first game of the season to the Washington Nationals last night 6-2. Even the best team will lose 50 games a season. The injuries that two Mets have incurred since the beginning of the season concern me. On opening day center fielder Andress Torres injured his calf and will be out at least two weeks. David Wright fractured his pinky. Surgery can not be used here, so his finger will be placed in a splint and evaluated day to day. In recent seasons injuries have really hurt the Mets. Let's hope that injuries this season will be minimal.
