Mets 3 Cubs 1

Home runs by Jordanny Valdespin and Ike Davis gave the Mets enough run support as they beat the Chicago Cubs 3-1 at a steamy Citifield today.  It seems that Terry Collins didn't have much confidence in his bull pen as he left starter Dillon Gee in for 8 innings.  Bobby Parnell came in for the 9th to get the save.
