Hot Stove News From the Mets
The Mets traded left handed pitcher Jon Neise to the Pittsburgh Pirates for second baseman Neil Walker who seems to bring a good resume with him. This solidifies Steven Matz's position as the lefty starter in the Mets rotation. There is now speculation that Bartolo Colon will sign with the Mets and become the 5th starter until Zach Wheeler comes off the disabled list. It is now virtually certain that Daniel Murphy will not come back to the Mets and will sign with another team. The Mets will get a first round pick in the amateur free agent draft from the team the signs Murphy. I am sure there will be more moves made to strengthen the team for the 2016 season.
