Dodgers 4 Mets 2

 

This season the Mets are having a problem with hitting with runners in scoring position.  Last night they were facing Clayton Kershaw who is arguable the best pitcher in baseball.  Curtis Granderson and Neil Walker hit doubles but were left on base.  Granderson hit a triple in the 8th inning to drive in the tieing run, but was left on base.  The game was tied going to the top of the 9th, but for the second appearance in a row Jeurys Familia was ineffective and allowed 2 runs to let the Dodgers win.  He is usually "lights out" but has faltered badly in his last two outings.  Pitchers like batters can go into a slump.
