I was last at the Guggenheim in February, but since the exhibits have changed since then, I thought it would be time for a return. The major exhibit was:
Artistic License: Six Takes on the Guggenheim Collection
The following artists - Cai Guo-Qiang, Paul Chan, Jenny Holzer, Julie Mehretu, Richard Prince, and Carrie Mae Weem had influential solo shows at the museum sometime in the past. Each was asked to make selections to shape a discrete presentation, one on each of the six levels of the rotunda.
Since this exhibit is scheduled to run until January 2020, it will not be necessary for me to revisit the museum until next year.
