The Crystals had many hits featuring the Wall of Sound
The Wall of Sound is a music production formula developed by American record producer XXXXX at Gold Star Studios, in the 1960s, with assistance from engineer Larry Levine and the conglomerate of session musicians later known as "the Wrecking Crew". That unmentioned producer died today at age 81 in prison while he was serving a life sentence for murder. I don't think there should be a tribute to a murderer.
Here is a list of some of the hits of the 60s featuring the Wall of Sound.
- He's a Rebel The Crystals.
- Da Doo Ron Ron (When He Walked Me Home) The Crystals.
- Be My Baby The Ronettes.
- Then He Kissed Me The Crystals.
- (Today I Met) The Boy I'm Gonna Marry Darlene Love.
- Baby, I Love YouThe Ronettes.
- He's Sure the Boy I LoveThe Crystals.
- Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Bobby Soxx & The Blue Jeans.
- River Deep Mountain High -Ike and Tina Turner
- You've Lost that Loving Feeling by The Righteous Brothers
