Since it cost over $200/ticket to see a Knicks game at Madison Square Garden we thought we would take in a college game where the ticket prices are more reasonable. Both teams held the lead during the first half, but the Red Storm pulled ahead by 19 points in the second half. The Providence College Friars fought back and tied the score at 66 with 33 seconds left. Kadary Richmond nailed the game-winner with three seconds left on the clock. The Red Storm has now won eight-straight regular season league games for the first time since it won eight consecutive from Feb. 1 from March 2, 1992. At that point the legendary Lou Carnesecca was coach.
Before today's game the Red Storm was ranked 15 nationally. There is about a month to go in the regular season leading to the Big East Tournament. Hopefully the Red Storm will get a spot in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament popularly known as the "Big Dance".
